Shenandoah Soldier, Captured in Africa, on Missing List

SHENANDOAH – Dean Rice, a former Company E soldier from Shenandoah who has been a prisoner of war since February, is “missing.” The war department has notified his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Rice that they are unable to locate him at present. He was a prisoner of the Italians and it is not known whether he was liberated or taken to Germany. Rice, wounded in the shoulder, has been unable to write home since July.
