SUMNER—Gene Rhea, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Rhea, who enlisted last summer, has gone to Minot, N. D., where he will receive his training in the naval air force.

Gene Glen Rhea was born July 17, 1923 to Bryan William and Florence Emma Wuttke Rhea. He died Feb. 12, 2011 and is buried in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Hazleton, IA.
Ens. Rhea served in World War with the U.S. Navy Air Corps as an instrument instructor pilot.
