Receives Wings, Is Commissioned
J. B. Petrus, jr., has been graduated from an advanced flying course at Williams Field in Arizona; has been awarded his wings, and commissioned a second lieutenant.
Second Lt. and Mrs. Petrus arrived here Monday to spend a five-day furlough at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Petrus, 219 Frank street, and Dr. and Mrs. C. C. Bransby at 128 South Seventh street.
Second Lt. Petrus took basic training at Minter Field, Calif., and primary flight training at Rankin Field, also in California.
Upon completion of this furlough, they will return to Marana air base in Arizona.
