Former Sioux Cityan Held Prisoner by Japs Nearly 4 Years

Captured by the Japs on Corregidor and held a prisoner by them until he was recently released by American troops, Pvt. Robert Pease, formerly of Sioux City, has informed relatives that he is in good health and hopes to be homeward bound.

Pvt. Pease enlisted when he was 16, he now is 20, and most of those four years was spent in the privations of a prison camp controlled by Japanese.

Notice of his freedom has been received by his sisters, Mrs. Chester Young, route 1, Sioux City, and Mrs. George Bramble, 2803 Correctionville road. He has another sister, Mrs. A. E. Vavra, living in Walthill, Neb.
