Clarence F. Olson, Clermont, left for Des Moines Jan. 17, for his pre-induction call for Army service. Norman Gilbert, also of Clermont, was called to Des Moines on Jan. 24, for his physical examination.

Clarence Franklin Olson was born Aug. 30, 1924 to Louis T. and Ruth R. Shipton Olson. He died Oct. 31, 2002 and is buried in Gods Acres Cemetery, Clermont, IA.
