Aviation Cadet Arthur W. Nystrom, son of Mrs. A. W. Nystrom, 1819 Nebraska street, has arrived at the army airfield at Newport, Ark., where he will receive his basic training as an aviation cadet.

Arthur William Nystrom, jr., son of Mrs. A. W. Nystrom, 1819 Nebraska street, has been advanced to the grade of second lieutenant and received his wings as an Army pilot at graduation ceremonies at Napier field, Ala. Lieut. Nystrom attended Central high school, where he was active in athletics and dramatics. Later he attended Iowa State College.

Arthur William “Bill” Nystrom was born Mar. 22, 1924 to Arthur and Min Verstegen Nystrom. He died May 15, 2016.
