Ex-Sioux Cityan Well Protected
T. Cpl. Wilbur Newton, former Sioux Cityan, is shown above as he stands with two Italian policemen and an American M.P. He has been in Italy for two years and is in the quartermaster corps. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Newton, 119 12th street, and before entering service three years ago was employed by Weller’s Fishing Tackle company. His wife now lives at 726 Armstrong street in St. Paul, Minn.

Technician Wilbur R. Newton, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Newton, 119 12th Street, husband of Mrs. Donna M. Newton, St. Paul, Minnesota is serving with the unit controlling the port of Leghorn, Italy, according to a news release from allied headquarters in Italy. Cpl. Newton has been overseas 19 months and wears the Mediterranean theater ribbon with two battle participation stars and the good conduct medal.
