An Associated Press dispatch received here Friday morning said that Herbert S. Nelson, seaman, of Council Bluffs, has been listed as missing by the navy.

Herbert Sidney Nelson was born May 28, 1925 to John Herbert and Eva Cleo Gilliland Nelson. He died Nov. 24, 1943 and has a cenotaph in Memorial Park Cemetery, Council Bluffs, IA.
Petty Officer Nelson served in World War II with the U.S. Navy.
