Harold F. Moore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Moore, 2915 Avenue E, has been promoted from aviation radio technician 2/c to first class petty officer, according to word received here. He is in the south Pacific. Mr. and Mrs. Moore have also received word another son, Pfc. Walter A. Moore, is now in Italy.

Learn Son Is Reported Missing
Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Moore, 2915 Avenue E., have received work that their son, Pfc. Walter A. Moore, has been reported missing in action in the European theater since April 25. Another son, Chief Radio Technician Harold F. Moore, has recently arrived in the United States after participating in the Luzon and Iwo Jima campaigns.

20 S. W. Iowa War Dead Back
Bodies Returned from Italy, Africa
The bodies of 20 southwest Iowa war dead have been returned to the United States from the Mediterranean area aboard the army transport Cpl. Eric G. Gibson, the department of the army announced Sunday. A total of 111 remains were returned to next of kin in Iowa.
The body of Pfc. Walter A. Moore, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Moore, 2915 Avenue F, will be returned to Cutler’s funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn cemetery. He was killed April 25, 1945, while serving with the armored infantry in Italy. He had been overseas since September, 1945. He was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson high school.
Survivors are his parents, five brothers, Harold of California, Robert of Council Bluffs, Don and Charles, both of Omaha, and Raymond Moore of the army, Albuquerque, N. M.
Three From Company F
Three former members of Company F, Villisca national guard unit, are in the shipment: Sgt. George Comley of Villisca, Sgt. Albert W. Rider of Nodaway and S. Sgt. Clarence T. “Monty” Storm of Macedonia.

NAMES OMITTED – Additional survivors of Pfc. Walter A. Moore, returned war dead, are two sisters, Mrs. Ted Williams of Rosewell, Calif., and Mrs. Mary Brightman of Bartlesville, Okla. A previous story in Sunday’s Nonpareil omitted these two names.

Funerals
Funeral services for Walter A. Moore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter L. Moore, 2915 Avenue E, returned serviceman, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., at the Cutler chapel. The Rev. R. O. Barber, pastor of Dodge Memorial church, will officiate. The VFW will conduct military rites at the grave in Cedar Lawn cemetery.
