Lt. Joe M. Little

 

 

 

WAR SERVICE NEWS.

Joe Little, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Little, was promoted recently from corporal to sergeant, at the armored replacement training center at Ft. Knox, Ky. Sgt. Little went into the service last September, and was in his third year of college when he was called. He is now in charge of platoon of trainees, helping to “teach” them the art of armored warfare, according to the Kingsley News-Times.

Staff Sergeant Joe Little, stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky, is home on a visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Little, in Kingsley. He is enroute on transfer to a camp in the east.

NEWS of the Boys in the Service.

Joe M. Little, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Little of Kingsley, was awarded the bronze star and a battlefield commission of second lieutenant, during the final drive to Berlin. Lieut. Little has been with the First and Ninth armies.

Joe Mylon Little was born Oct. 6, 1921 to John B. “Jack” and Lula May Miller Little. He died July 31, 1996 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
