Arthur “Art" Kooima was born Dec. 29, 1919 to Tim and Gertie Kooima. He died Feb. 18, 2016 and is buried in Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley, IA. Petty Officer Kooima served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
