S-SGT E. J. KEES CALLS FROM NEW JERSEY TUESDAY

“Eb” Kees arrived in the states this week.  He called his wife Tuesday night from New Jersey to tell her he would be seeing his family soon.

S/Sgt. Kees expects to be sent to Jefferson Barracks, Mo., and then on to Laurens about the last of this month.

In his conversation Tuesday he said he gained back most of his loss in weight.  A German Prisoner of War for 10 months, he had been on the march since February 6 and was finally released April 26. It was “tough” going he said, but is feeling all right now.
