WAR SERVICE NEWS.

Pvt. Roy Johnston, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Johnston, of Remsen, writes from Fort Knox, Ky, reporting a change in his address. Roy says also that he has been accepted for aviation cadet training, having received his notice July 20, but adds that he will remain at Ft. Knox for another month. He says he is getting a thorough training in weapons and tank driving, and enjoys it “even if it is almost too hot for living.”

Roy Everett Johnson was born July 20, 1924 to Seymour B. and Dorothea Steffen Johnson. He died May 1, 2005 and is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Cypress, CA.
