Bluff Men Killed in Alaskan Theater
Bodies of Lt. Col. Jack K. Siddens and Pvt. Arthur O. Jensen of Council Bluffs have been returned to the United States from Alaska aboard the army transport Honda Knot, the department of the army announced Friday.

Pvt. Jensen, 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin M. Jensen, 1700 Avenue C, was killed in a plane crash in Alaska on Nov. 28, 1942. He was a radio operator for the 54th troop carrier squadron.
Lifetime Resident.
Born in Boomer township, Jensen lived all his life in Pottawattamie county. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln high school in 1937, was employed by Schoentgen company before entering the army on March 15, 1942.
Surviving are his parents; two brothers, Vernon of Council Bluffs and Kenneth Jensen of Portland, Ore.; and three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Barrett of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Lucille Mortensen and Mrs. Hazel Brown of Council Bluffs; Cutler’s funeral home will be in charge when the body is returned here.

Obituaries
Pvt. Arthur O. Jensen
The body of Pvt. Arthur O. Jensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin M. Jensen, 1700 Avenue C, who was killed in action in an airplane crash in Alaska, December 2, 1942, will arrive in Council Bluffs Tuesday.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p. m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran church, with V.F.W. military services at the grave. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn cemetery. Cutler funeral home is in charge.

TO ATTEND FUNERAL
The American War Mothers will meet in front of Our Savior’s Lutheran church at 1:45 p. m. Thursday to attend the funeral services of Pvt. Arthur O. Jensen.
