Wife Notified of Husband’s Death

T. Sgt. Robert Hansen, 27, was killed in action in Belgium on Jan. 9, his wife was notified this week.

Sgt. Hansen has been in the army two years and has been overseas since October.

He is a graduate of Abraham Lincoln high school and prior to entering the service, was employed by the Carpenter Paper company in Omaha.

Besides his widow, the former Dorothy Hansen, 128 Fourth street, he is survived by a two-year-old daughter, Becky Sue, and his mother, Mrs. Ida Hansen of Council Bluffs.

Robert V. Hansen is buried in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Council Bluffs, IA.
