Sheldon, Iowa—Ensign Robert Diamond, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Diamond of Sheldon, is on patrol duty with the navy in New Caledonia. Ensign Diamond is a graduate of the University of Iowa where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa, honorary society. Later he did graduate work at the University of Chicago. Mr. Diamond is United States district attorney with headquarters in Sioux City.

Sheldon, IA.—Ensign Robert Diamond and Lieut (j.g.) Donald Balkema, both of Sheldon, met and had dinner together in New Caledonia. Ensign Diamond is on a rescue ship and Lieut. Balkema is on a hospital ship.
