In Pacific Marine Action

The U. S. marine corps photographic service has supplied The Mail with this fine picture of Pfc. Daryl DeMuth of Milford. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo DeMuth, a radio operator with the signal company of the Fourth marine division. He is shown testing his equipment aboard ship on the way to Iwo Jima. He was under heavy fire there and is now at a Pacific rest came. DeMuth is a graduate of Milford high school and was formerly employed in display advertising at the Star-News in Pasadena, Calif. He enlisted Dec. 4, 1943.
