Scott J. Davis, of James, has two sons in the armed services, who enlisted shortly after Pearl Harbor. Lieut. Orrin A. Davis is assigned to the air transport command at Las Vegas, New Mexico, and the youngest son, Lilmar E. Davis, is in the Navy and is a range finder and fire control man on a battleship somewhere in the south Pacific.

Orris A. Davis was born Aug. 31, 1918 to Scott J. and Lillian Finn Davis. He died Oct. 25, 2011 in Winter Park, FL.
Lt. Col. Davis served with the U.S. Air Force in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He served as an advisor to the South Vietnamese Air Force from Dec. 1960 until Jan. 1962.
