True F. Coover

 

True F. Coover was born 3 April 1915 in Marengo, Iowa. He with his parents moved to Hornick, Iowa as a child. He enlisted 18 October 1942 in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was discharged 8 October 1945. He received the Asiatic Theatre Ribbon.

He married Virginia Chilton 1 October 1944 at Hornick, Iowa. They had twin sons and one daughter. They made their home in Sioux City after the war. He was a carpenter and was employed by Holtz and Klinger Construction Companies until his retirement in 1963. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 948.

He died June 1986 in Sioux City, Iowa and is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. He had seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The Coover Brothers are the sons of Ralph Freeman and Edna Larsen Coover. Siblings are True, Howard, Orlie, Thomas, June, Nina, Joyce and Janice.
