Body Found in New Jersey Creek
Died of Exposure
Death of Sgt. Robin G. Connelly, 23, 3325 Avenue B., whose frozen body was found Christmas eve in the Sanhican creek at Trenton, N. J., was reported here Thursday morning. He was stationed at Fort Dix.
An Associated Press story reported Sgt. Connelly died of exposure, quoted Trenton police as believe that his body fell into the water a week ago.
Graduated from Thomas Jefferson high school in 1941, Connelly entered the service Sept. 18, 1943, at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He served in Arizona and New Mexico, and, at the time of his death, was assigned to the Separation Center at Fort Dix.
He was married March 18, 1944 to Pauline Piper of Neola.
Besides his widow, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gail Connelly of 3325 Avenue B, one sister Mrs. Hal Blackman, living in California, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Ehlers of 816 North Eighth street.
The Meyer funeral home is in charge. Arrangements for the services have not been completed
