PROMOTED
Dale F. Caughey, on duty “somewhere in the south Pacific,” has been promoted to seaman 1/c according to word received by his mother, Mrs. Alice Caughey, 207 North avenue. Before entering the service, Caughey was employed in the circulation department of the Nonpareil. Two other sons of Mrs. Caughey are in the service, Pfc. Robert “Bob” Caughey, stationed in England with the air corps, and Seaman 2/c Donald Caughey, with the SeaBees, stationed in Rhoade (sic) Island.
