Douglas M. Baker, A/T, ACU, Sq. A., Flight 1, Gardener, AAF, Toft, Cal., completed his ground schooling at Amarillo, Tex., in February and is now taking pilot training. “Doug” was home in December. His wife is living here with Leone Lawrence.

SOLDIER NEWS.

Aviation Cadet Douglas Baker and Pvt. Francis Baker left Monday after spending some time here with relatives and friends. Their wives accompanied them as far as Omaha. Doug is stationed at Victorville, California, and Francis at Camp Ellis, Illinois.

Douglas Melvin “Doug" Baker was born Jan. 15, 192 to Frank Emerson and Matha “Mattie” Elizabeth Jensen Baker. He died Feb. 9, 1992 and is buried in Hillside Cemetery, Merrill, IA.
