Ensign and Mrs. Robert Arthur arrived here Saturday for a visit with Ensign Arthur’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Arthur. The local youth, who has been stationed with the U. S. Navy at Ames, in charge of the Ship’s Service Store, received his commission early in May, and has now been selected to attend Navy Communications School at Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass.

He will report in Cambridge on June 1st to start his five months course in communications. Prior to his enlistment in the navy, Ensign Arthur was employed in Boone, Iowa, after receiving his degree at Iowa State college [present-day Iowa State University, Ames]. For the past ten months he has been stationed at Ames in charge of the service store at the Naval Engineering school.

Mrs. Arthur, who has been with her husband at Ames, does not plan to accompany him to Massachusetts for the present.
