Pfc. Rudolph L. Anthofer of Camp Ibia, California, is spending a 15-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Anthofer and family of Dedham.

Rudolph Louis Anthofer was born Aug. 11, 1915 to Anton and Mary Klocke Anthofer. He died Jan. 11, 2004 and is buried in Saint Josephs Cemetery, Dedham, IA.
Rudolph served with the U.S. Army 771st Tank Battalion in World War II.
