Elgin “Cream Corn” in India
In a letter to the home folks, the Ole Amundsons, Sgt. Morris V. Amundson, enclosed the label from a can of Elgin corn which he had picked up “somewhere in India.” Said it was a small world after all. The label was from a can of “Elgin Cream” which the local factory has been supplying to the armed forces.
Sgt. Amundson has been in India a year now. He said he received a lot of Christmas gifts from folks at home and enjoyed getting them. It’s warm in India in the daytime but nights are cool and the boys usually sleep under two blankets.
