Doyle Leonard Wagner was born Feb. 24, 1923 to Leonard Charles and Grace Henrietta Hensel Wagner. He died Sept. 8, 1948 and is buried in Saint Francis de Sales Cemetery, Ossian, IA. 

Sgt. Wagner served in World War II with the U.S. Army 11th Airborne Division.

Louis Fletcher Whallon, Jr. was born Dec. 24, 1912 to Louis Fletcher (Sr.) and Emma C. Whallon. He died July 30, 1945 (At Sea) and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and at the USS Indianapolis National Memorial in Indianapolis, IN. 

LTJG Whallon served aboard the USS Indianapolis (CA-35). He was awarded the Purple Heart.
