Glenn C. Merrill was born Feb. 23, 1906 to Clarence Cleveland and Lora Mooney Merrill. He died July 17, 1949 and is buried in North Lawn Cemetery, Fort Dodge, IA. 

Pvt. Merrill served in World War II with the U.S. Army 187th Military Police Company.

Thomas Lawrence Merrill was born Sept. 27, 1921 to Leon L. and Florence May Newbauer Merrill. He died Oct. 12, 2015 and is buried in Colfax Cemetery, Webster County, IA.

Cpl. Merrill served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 365th Fighter Squadron, 358th Fighter Group.

Julian Willis Messerly was born Jan 5, 1924 to Walter L. and Mayme A. Lang Messerly. He died May 30, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, England.

Sgt. Messerly served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 838th Bomber Squadron, 487th Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/KIA on a mission over Germany. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal.

Leo Joseph Meyer was born June 28, 1919 to Albert Edward and Kathryn C. “Kate" Hood Meyer. He died July 13, 1943 and is buried in Corpus Christi Cemetery, Fort Dodge, IA.

Sgt. Meyer served in World War II with the U.S. Army Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 6th Medical Battalion and died at Station Hospital, Camp San Luis Obispo from injuries received when struck by an auto.

Ralph Joseph Meyers was born Mar. 15, 1906 to Frank J. and Anna Marie O’Hara Meyers. He died June 30, 1975 and is buried in Corpus Christi Cemetery, Fort Dodge, IA. 

Petty Officer Meyers served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
