Ivan Dean ”Buck” DeVore was born May 9, 1923 to Charles O. and Stella Mae Mosbey DeVore. He died Jan. 3, 2011 and is buried in Jones Cemetery, Promise City, IA.
Pvt. DeVore served in World War II with the U.S. Army 66th Panther Division and 35th Infantry Division in France and was awarded the Purple Heart.
