Alton Wayne “Wayne” Jeffus, Jr. was born June 29, 1928 to Alton Wayne “Alton” (Sr.) and Ethelyn Headington Jeffus. He died Oct. 30, 1983 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Petty Officer Jeffus served with the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II.

Charles W. Jehle was born Oct. 11, 1925 to Charles James and Cleo W. Jehle. He died June 9, 1945 and is buried at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Pvt. Jehle served in World War II with the U.S. Army 17th Infantry, 7th Division and was KIA on Okinawa. He received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Clarence Bruce Johnston was born Aug. 27, 1908 to J. B. and Effie Shaw Johnston. He died Oct. 22, 1942 and is buried in National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Petty Officer Johnston served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

George Johnston was born June 16, 1920 to Frederick and Gladys Fae Shaw Johnston. He died July 25, 1950 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. 

Pvt. Johnston served in World War II and Korea with the U.S. Army 5th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division and died while on active duty in Korea. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Wendell Paul Jones was born Dec .8, 1925 to Wilbur R. and Nolia M. Stufflebeam Jones. He died Apr. 23, 1945 and is buried in Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.

Pvt. Jones served in World War II with the U.S. Army 194th Infantry Regiment, 17th Airborne Division and died in Germany while in the service of his country.
