William Hardy Gibbons was born Dec. 15, 1924 to William Hardy Gibbons, Sr. and Helen Wichhart. He died May 18, 1945 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 3, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Petty Officer Gibbons served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Longshaw (DD-559) and was MIA/FOD/KIA in enemy action off the shore of Okinawa. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Elmer Newton Gillis was born Nov. 16, 1914 to Rexford Larue and Lula O’Laughlin Gillis. He died Mar. 21, 1945 and is buried in Ottumwa Cemetery, Ottumwa, IA.

Elmer served in World War II.

Harold R. Goodwin was born May 21, 1916 to Benjamin and Mabel Phillips Goodwin. He died May 18, 2002 and is buried in Shaul Cemetery, Ottumwa, IA. Harold served in World War II with the U.S. Army.

Robert Henry “Bob” Granaman was born Dec. 5, 1918 to Elmer Berry and Louise Daum Granaman. He died July 4, 1994 and is buried in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Ottumwa, IA.

Pvt. Granaman served in World War II with the U.S. Army 53rd Ordnance, 703rd Military Police Battalion.
