Carl Paul Leroy Owens was born Mar. 15, 1921 to Leonard Leroy and Millie Mae New Owens. He died Feb. 20, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy and has a cenotaph in Hopkins Cemetery, Hopkins, MO.

Ensign Owens served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS LST-348 when that vessel, while enroute to Anzio, Italy, received two violent underwater explosions and sank.

Charles Curtis Evans Owens was born June 1, 1921 to B. F. and Martha Jane Owens. He died October. 11, 1997 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Bedford, IA. 

Charles served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
