Charles Chester Hall was born Sept. 1, 1922 to Charles and Dora Lodeema Hall. He died Dec. 12, 1944 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 3, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and has a cenotaph in Fairview Cemetery, Bedford, IA.

Petty Officer Hall served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Albacore (SS-218) which was sunk by a mine off northern Japan. He was MIA/FOD/KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.

Alva Lee Harland was born June 21, 1905 to Ivan Roy and Mable Pearl Lefever Harland. He died Mar. 6, 1979 and is buried in Dallas Center Cemetery, New Market, IA.

Sgt. Harland served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Cpl. Hastings served with the U.S. Army 6th Infantry Battalion, 1st Armored Division. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Sgt. Hopple served in World War II with the U.S. Army 192nd Tank Battalion and was KIA in the Philippines. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross and the Purple Heart.
