Robert Lester Wall was born Feb. 9, 1919 to Albert A. and Sylvia Shelton Wall. He died Dec. 14, 1944 and is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery, Montour, IA.

Pvt. Wall served in World War II with the U.S. Army Medical Detachment, 39th Engineer Combat Regiment, 34th Infantry Division, 5th Army and was KIA in Italy.

Richard Robert Westfall was born Oct. 16, 1920 to George Carroll and Nora Muirhead Westfall. He died Apr. 1, 1945 and is buried in Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.

Pvt. Westfall served in World War II with the U.S. Army 39th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division and was KIA in Germany and awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart.

Leland D. Wiggins was born Oct. 10, 1917 to Henry G. and Nellie Rachel Sweet Wiggins. He died Sept. 15, 1944 and is buried in Florence American Cemetery, Impruneta, Italy.

Sgt. Wiggins served in World War II with the U.S. Army Infantry 133rd Infantry, 34th Infantry Division and was KIA in Italy and awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Fred W. Wisner was born about 1921 to Joe and Emma Wisner. He died June 10, 1945 and is buried in Luxembourg American Cemetery, Luxembourg.

Pvt. Wisner served in World War II with the U.S. Army 110th Infantry Regiment, 28th Infantry Division and died while in the service of his country.

Loren Alfred Woehlk was born Oct. 31, 1924 to Alfred and Olinda E. Woehlk. He died Nov. 4, 1944 and has a cenotaph in Crystal Township Cemetery, Garwin, IA.

Pvt. Woehlk served in World War II with the U.S. Army and was KIA in Germany in the service of his country.

Meredith Deroy Winter was born Feb. 26, 1919 to Thomas Leroy and Lennora Ford Winter. He died Feb. 28, 1945 and is buried in Dysart Cemetery, Dysart, IA. He was initially buried in the 3rd Marine Division Cemetery on Iwo Jima and returned to the U.S. in 1948.

Pvt. Winter served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps 21st Regiment, 3rd Division and was KIA in combat operations on Iwo Jima.
