Hollis M. Rider was born Feb. 9, 1918 to Ralph R. and Mary Henrietta “Etta” Brecht Rider. He died Nov. 27, 1944 and was buried in Garwin Union Cemetery, Tama, IA.

Pvt. Rider served in World War II with the U.S. Army 315th Infantry, 79th Infantry Division and was KIA in southern France in the service of his country.

Robert Hegarot Ruch was born Feb. 17, 1914 to Frank L. and Nellie May Hegarot Ruch. He died Apr. 20, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, North Africa American Cemetery, Tunis, Tunisia.

Sgt. Ruch served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 32nd Photographic Squadron, 5th Reconnaissance Group and was MIA/FOD/KIA in the Mediterranean Sea while in the service of his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
