Russel Leonard Mathern was born Dec. 6, 1920 to Leonard Otto and Pearl Gladys Lage Mathern. He died Aug. 9, 1945 and is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery, Gladbrook, IA.

Lt. Mathern served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps as a test pilot and was killed in a plane crash in Tucson, AZ while in the service of his country.

Clement L. Mauskemo was born Mar. 5, 1922. He died June 27, 1944 and is buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Pvt. Mauskemo served in World War II with the U.S. Army 105th Infantry, 27th Infantry Division and was KIA and awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Lloyd Woodrow McCoy was born Sept. 18, 1918 to Lloyd J. and Alpha Ruth Vibbard McCoy. He died Feb. 28, 1945 and is buried in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.

Sgt. McCoy served in World War II with the U.S. Army Co. F, 36th Armored Infantry and died in Germany in the service of his country.

Warren R. Miller was born Aug. 15, 1923 to Elwood and Sadie Young Miller. He died Jan. 11, 1945 and is buried in Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands and has a cenotaph in Reinbeck Cemetery, Reinbeck, IA.

Sgt. Miller served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 85th Squadron, 437th Troop Carrier Group and was KIA in Germany and awarded the Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters.

Robert Morgan was born Dec. 16, 1924 to John and Tah no qua Morgan. He died Dec. 2, 1943 and is buried in Mesquakie Cemetery, Tama, IA.

Pvt. Morgan served in World War II with the U.S. Army 157th Infantry and died of wounds received in action in Italy.
