Silas Clyde Pedersen was born Jan. 21, 1920 to Loren C. and Meta Gregerson Pedersen. He died Oct. 5, 1944 and is buried in Epinal American Cemetery, Dinoze, France. There is a cenotaph for Lt. Pedersen in Elk Horn Cemetery, Elk Horn, IA.

2nd Lt. Pedersen served in World War II with the U.S. Army 191st Tank Battalion and was KIA in France. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Silver Star.

Normal Jacob Petersen was born Feb. 11, 1921 to Jacob F. and Minnie Borche Petersen. He died Aug. 28, 2010 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Petty Officer Petersen served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
