Reed Lynn Pietscher was born Dec. 19, 1922 to Walter H. and Hattie Hazel Schlotfeldt Pietscher. He died Apr. 18, 1945 and is buried in Davenport Memorial Park, Davenport, IA and memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Lt. Pietscher served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 432nd Fighter Squadron, 475th Fighter Group and was MIA/KIA on Luzon, Philippines Islands and awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal.
