Howard Max Pahl was born Aug. 31, 1905 to Max and Melanie Hasch Pahl. He died Dec. 15, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Capt. Pahl served in World War II with the U.S. Army 72nd Infantry Regiment, 71st Philippine Infantry Division and was MIA/KIA in the Pacific area and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Ray Herbert Parker was born July 22, 1921 to Herbert and Verna Belle Remaly Parker. He died Jan. 8, 1945 and is buried in Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL.

Sgt. Parker served in World War II with the U.S. Army as a 60mm Mortar Squad Leader and died of wounds received when his company was engaged in attacking the enemy near the Belgian town of Bastogne.
