Michael N. Shay, Jr. was born Nov. 29, 1918 to Michael N. (Sr.) and Lulu Martin Shay. He died Dec. 19, 1944 and is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium. He has a cenotaph in Calvary Cemetery, Wichita, KS.

Sgt. Shay served in World War II with the U.S. Army 73rd Field Artillery Battalion, 9th Armored Division and was KIA in the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross and Purple Heart.

William Edward Shay was born Nov. 10, 1918 to William L. and Caroline Hart Shay. He died Nov. 15, 1982 and is buried in Saint Marys Cemetery, Benton Township, Ringgold County, IA.

Donald Alfred Shrimpton was born Sept. 14, 1921 to John Orval and Ida Thelma Britt Shrimpton. He died Jan. 10, 1945 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Creston, IA.

Pvt. Shrimpton served in World War II with the U.S. Army Engineers and died in the Philippines of wounds received in action.
