Melvin Laverne Hohl was born Sept. 21, 1916 to Ernest J. and Fern Onstott Hohl. He died Mar 24, 1991 and is buried in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Malcom, IA.

Pvt. Hohl served in World War II with the U.S. Army Medical Detachment in the Pacific. He was awarded four Bronze Stars.

Melvin Charles Holland was born June 26, 1924 to Samuel J. and Hessie Jane Fraser Holland. He died Feb. 18, 1945/FOD Feb. 19, 1946 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 4, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Cpl. Holland served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and was MIA/KIA in action against the enemy in the Gilbert Islands Campaign. He awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
