Harry Truman Pierce was born Mar. 25, 1923 to Charlie Truman and Pearl V. Anderson Pierce. He died Nov. 13, 1942 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Petty Officer Pierce served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Texas (BB-35) and USS Juneau (CL-52) and was MIA/FOD/KIA when the Juneau was sunk in the Battle of Guadalcanal. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Jacob Pildis was born Jan. 21, 1925 to Abraham and Sarah Pildis. He died Jan. 10, 1945 and is buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Saint Louis, MO. He has a cenotaph in Jewish Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.
Cpl. Pildis served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II and was awarded the Air Medal and Purple Heart.
