Richard Carl Sahm was born Feb. 19, 1925 to Richard J. and Lelia May Cutter Sahm. He died Mar. 14, 1945.

Pvt. Sahm served in World War II with the U.S. Army Infantry and was MIA/KIA in France.

Floyd Lee Smith was born Dec. 4, 1918 to Toy Walker and Allie Carpenter Smith. He died June 16, 1944 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and has a cenotaph in Union Grove Cemetery, Northboro, IA.

Sgt. Smith served in World War II with the U.S. Army 163rd Infantry Regiment, 41st Infantry Division and was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.

William Michael Sondag was born Aug. 23, 1921 to Theodore Nicholas and Helena Amanda Peterson Sondag. He died Sept. 22, 2007 and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Shenandoah, IA.

Capt. Sondag served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps. He also served in Korea. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.

Francis Dean “Dean” Spicer was born Feb. 28, 1921 to Jessie Joe and Essie Stella Bennett Spicer. He died Jan. 26, 1943 and is buried in Clarinda Cemetery, Clarinda, IA.

Cpl. Spicer served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and was KIA in the Pacific area.

Harold Leroy Still was born Mar. 3, 1914 to Roy L. and Gladys Frances McWhinney Still. He died Aug. 10, 1989 and is buried in Woodland Memorial Park, Cleburne County, Arkansas. 

Lt. Still served with the U.S. Navy in World War II and Korea.
