Edgar L. Arnold was born Apr. 2, 1913 Lewis R. and Eva May Bennett Arnold. He died Feb. 17, 2011 and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Shenandoah, IA.

Col. Arnold served in World War II with the U.S. Army 168th Infantry, 34th Division, 109th Infantry, 28th Division, and 2nd Ranger Battalion and was on Omaha Beach on D-Day. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross and Bronze Star Medal.

Leroy Raymond Ayres was born Apr. 29, 1924 to Cloy Monroe and Fannie Phoebe Johnson Ayres. He died July 12, 2001 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak, IA. 

Leroy served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps as an Airways Control Operator at Edwards Air Force Base and in the South Pacific and the Philippines.
