Edwin Robert Meyer was born Mar. 13, 1916 to Robert D. and Emily Mary Schucnecht Meyer. He died Dec. 9, 1944 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Pvt. Meyer served in World War II with the U.S. Army 8th Infantry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division and was KIA on Leyte, Philippine Islands and awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
