Glen Eugene Teel was born Oct. 31, 1916 to Marcellus and Laura Mae Thompson Teel. He was the foster son or Harry and Faith Showalter. He died Dec. 14, 1944 in the Palawan Massacre. His name is commemorated on a monument located at Palawan, Puerto Princesa, Philippines.

Pvt. Teel served with the U.S. Army Coast Artillery Corps in the Philippine Islands and was a World War II POW.

Pvt. Glen Eugene Teel is buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Lemay, MO.
