Sgt. Larson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 737th Tank Battalion and was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.

Petty Officer Lavars served in World War II aboard the USS Washington (BB-56) and the USS Salamaua (CVE-96) and was MIA/FOD/KIA aboard the Salamaua in enemy action off the Lingayen Gulf. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Pvt. Lawson served in World War II with the U.S. Army A Company, Supply Battalion, 14th Armored Division and died at station hospital, Camp Chaffee, Arkansas as the result of an accident while in the service of his country.
