Melbert Michel Weinschenk was born Apr. 11, 1917 to John W. and Susan Kasel Weinschenk. He died Mar. 9, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Weinschenk served in World War II with the U.S. Navy 104th Bomb Squadron and was MIA/FOD/KIA when the plane in which was flying failed to return to its base on Munda Field, New Georgia, following a routine search flight over enemy-controlled territory. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Air Medal with 2 Gold Stars and the Distinguished Flying Cross.

Leon Hubert Werner was born July 8, 1924 to John Charles and Julia Hemann Werner. He died Aug. 19, 2006 and is buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Osage, IA.
