Andy Knapp was born July 11, 1918 to Joseph A. and Ethel M. Knapp. He died June 2, 1942 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Sgt. Knapp served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 21st Pursuit Squadron, 24th Pursuit Group and died of malaria at O’Donnell Prison Camp, Philippine Islands while a POW.
