Floyd Grant Dotson was born Jan. 20, 1925 to Samuel David and Evelyn Gladys Green Dotson. He died Apr. 27, 1949 and is buried in Wapello Cemetery, Wapello, IA. 

Floyd served in World War II with the U.S. Army 690th Engineer Base Equipment Company. [Floyd was a twin to Lloyd Grant Dotson.}

Ernest L. Drake was born Aug. 24, 1903 to Samuel R. and Margaret Jane Raymond Drake. He died May 1, 1946 and is buried in Indian Creek Cemetery, Columbus Junction, IA.

Ernest served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

George Harrison Duncan was born Mar. 23, 1922 to Merle and Ruby Westfall Duncan. He died Nov. 25, 1944.

Pvt. Duncan served in World War II with the U.S. Army and died in Italy.

John Tedford “Jack” Duncan was born Oct. 31, 1926 to William Tedford and Margaret Ferguson Duncan. He died Mar. 19, 1945 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 5, Honolulu, Hawaii and has a cenotaph in Columbus City Cemetery, Columbus City, IA.

Petty Officer Duncan served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Franklin (CV-13) and was MIA/KIA during a kamikaze attack by the Japanese. Casualties totaled 724 killed and 265 wounded. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Stanley Ellsworth Durrett was born Dec. 14, 1915 to Alfred H. and Louisa Lakey Durrett. He died Sept. 22, 1944 and is buried in Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupre, Belgium and memorialized in Wapello Cemetery, Wapello, IA.

Flight Officer Durrett served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 7th Bomber Squadron, 34th Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/KIA over Kassell, Germany and awarded the Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters.
