John Oscar Suchomel was born Jan. 14, 1916 to Theodore and Geda Norberg Suchomel. He died Feb. 2, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Petty Officer Suchomel served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS De Haven (DD-469) and was MIA/KIA when that vessel was sunk by an air attack near Savo Island. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Charles Luther Summers was born Mar. 20, 1918 to Charles T. and Bertha Pearl Hall Summers. He died May 4, 1942 and is buried in Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.
2nd Lt. Summers served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps as Liaison Officer/Radar Operator. He was KIA.
